So, I have now been Carnivore Diet, otherwise referred to as zero-carb, for a little over a month. And I am continually amazed at the benefits I have received so far!
I had some inflammation in my body even after being Keto for so long. I knew I need to change things up a bit and so after doing some research, I decided to go on a full carnivore. Which means I only eat animal products. And no carbs whatsoever.
(I will do a post in the future with more detail about it)
My energy is up. I feel better than I have in a long time. And I just got a report yesterday that absolutely confirms that this is such a healing and healthy way to nourish our body.
Often referred to as an ‘ancestral correct‘ way of eating by Dr. Ken Berry, it is really something to consider if you want to take your health to a different level.
Before Keto & Carnivore Life History
As a child, I was always the one who had cavities. It never failed that when I went to the dentist for a cleaning, I would always leave with many appointments for upcoming fillings.
This went on until my late 40’s when I started Keto. In 2020 I decided to go for a cleaning. It had been a few years mostly due to the fact that I did not think I had time for fillings. I made sure the kids went faithfully every six months – but not me.
I, like everyone I’m sure, hate the sound of a drill and having a numb face for hours.
Then in 2020, I decided to make an appointment for a cleaning and see just what would happen. After my exam, they found that I did have some old cavities that needed addressing, but no new ones.
I remember sitting in the dentist chair in January of this past year having the work completed in my mouth. I asked the dentist how much more work would I need on my cavities.
He just looked at me and said’ “decay isn’t a problem you have”.
What!? Decay and cavities have always been a problem for me!
Unbelievable – I knew it was from the low-carb diet I follow and I was thrilled!
A Confirmation Of Carnivore Diet Benefits
Yesterday, I had my 6 month dental cleaning appointment.
The hygienist finished examining my teeth and she amazed and was very happy!
She told me that my gums were nice, pink & extremely healthy, I had no decay, and absolutely no plaque on my teeth! She said that as a dental office a cleaning every six months is recommended. But, I definitely could wait a year.
She told me, “whatever you are doing has turned the health of your mouth around. I have not seen a healthier mouth in a long time!”

This was a far cry from that little 6-year-girl sitting in the dentist chair waiting for a tooth to be pulled…
What I Ate Before The Carnivore’s Diet & Keto
As a child, I was not allowed to eat a lot of candy. I always kept my sweets and sugar to a minimum throughout my whole life because I was so susceptible to cavities and decay. But, that didn’t make a difference. I still had fillings, root canals, and teeth pulled all because of decay.
The culprit was carbs (carbohydrates). Carbs have been found not good for your teeth and the health of your mouth.

Very interesting article. Great, as I am a meat lover.
Thank you, Lucille!
Meat is definitely good for us! ๐
So you no longer have vegetables in your diet? That is a very unorthodox decision that I would love to hear explained.
Hi Lisa! Thank you for your comment!
You are correct ๐ – I no longer include vegetables in my diet at this point. I realize that this goes against everything we have been taught.
I decided to try this ultimate ‘elimination’ diet also known as a carnivore diet. After following a very low-carb diet (keto) for 3 years or so, I still had some inflammation that I wanted to address.
The results so far (about 60 days) are very positive and encouraging.
I will be sharing all about my experience here on the blog as I continue to educate myself and pursue wellness and healing through the foods I choose to eat ๐
